Jesus loves you. He loves you enough to seek you out. He loves you enough to give His life for you.
We started looking at one of three parables He told to demonstrate that love yesterday. We continue today.
Have you ever lost something important? I have. Doesn’t it consume your mind until you find it? Oh, you may go on about your daily duties eventually, but you are constantly pausing to look in another place. It is never far from your thoughts until it is located. I think some of the deepest cleaning gets done when that happens. When you find it, you rejoice and tell others that the lost is found. Did you realize that the angels in Heaven rejoice like that when another person repents and comes to Jesus? Wow.
“8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
9 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.”
Ponder that amazing truth today. May it make us also rejoice when someone comes to Jesus!
