This study is loosely based on the study More Like Jesus from Not Consumed.
Jesus. O to be more like Him. This song comes to mind as we continue our study on being more like Jesus no matter our circumstances!
How do we do that? Jesus tells us how in Luke 9:23-25.
“23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?”
How do we become more like Jesus? We deny ourselves. What does that mean? We stop being selfish.
We take up our cross (our life challenges and tasks) and follow Jesus. We follow His example in how to treat people, how to love God, and how to live. We want what Jesus wants and care about what Jesus cares about.
O, to be like Jesus.
