“8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging.
10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”
These verses have brought me comfort many times.
How do they bring comfort?
- God does not expect us to serve in ways that others do. God only expects us to minister to others with what He has given us.
- God has given each of us a gift to use in the body of Christ.
- God has a purpose for us even in our weakness.
Dear one that is struggling with weakness and feeling as if there is no purpose in each day, be encouraged. We can show fervent charity (love) to the church. We can be hospitable to those who assist us. We can use the gifts that God has given us to serve Him. We are not expected to do more than what God has given us.
Praise His Holy Name!
