Can you imagine what it was like for the people longing for the Messiah to come?

Day after day they experienced hardship. Four hundred years passed and they did not hear from God (between the old and new testaments). And yet, God was still coming.

Psalm 84:2

^“2 My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.”

Jesus came. Jesus served, loved, died, and rose for us, for them! He is Emmanuel, God with us.

In the midst of our busy or quiet of this season, may we long for Jesus!
