Daily Dose of Encouragement: 2 Corinthians 2:14-15

Oh! Oh! Oh!

Do you ever come across a passage that just makes you excited?

2 Corinthians 2:14-15

“14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

15 For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:”

Oh, do you see the richness of these verses? I encourage you to read the entire chapter, but we will look at these two verses.

Look what God does for us (in addition to our salvation!):

  1. He causes us to triumph in Christ. We have victory in Christ. It is there for us!
  2. He makes manifest the savour of His knowledge by us in every place. Isn’t it an amazing thing that God can use us, weak little ol’ us to make the savour of His knowledge known? When we are in the doctor’s offices, medical appointments, pharmacies, grocery stores, with our caregivers or the ones for whom we care, we can make the savour, the aroma, of His knowledge known to others!
  3. This is precious. We are unto God a sweet savour of Christ! Oh, how He loves us.

We take this sweet savour to those who are our brothers and sisters in Christ, the saved, and to those who don’t know Him. I don’t know about you, but this encouraged my heart and blessed me. It also challenged me to, through the triumph we have in Christ, be that sweet savour wherever we go.

Selah! Amen!
