This week was unexpected in many ways and a bit exhausting. There was no way to face it in my own strength.
In the midst of the weary, it hit me. Without the weary and trial, how would we see God’s strength? If we could do it all on our own, how would we know what He can do? Isn’t that awesome? When I am weak, He is strong. When we can’t do it, God can. We must rely on Him.
“9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”
Paul saw this. He realized that God’s strength was the only way to have the power of Christ. He therefore took pleasure in the weakness to see Christ’s strength.
Wow. Just wow.
As we face another week of seemingly insurmountable challenges, we can have peace as this is when God will give His strength and see us through. We can rejoice and rely on Him!
