“5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.
11 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.”
Have you ever had to preach to your own soul? The Psalmist did. He was discouraged. His response? He counseled his own soul to hope in God. He praises God and recognizes that God is His help and Deliverer.
I love this response and see this as an example to use when I am discouraged.
God is an amazing God!
