We have been parked on Hebrews 11:23-29 for seven days as we stroll through Hebrews 11. I have been challenged and encouraged by these verses. The same is true of today’s verse, Hebrews 11:29.

^“29 By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned”

Pharoah and his armies were behind the children of Israel; the Red Sea before them. (Exodus 14) They were quite trapped.

The Israelites thought they were going to die, but Moses was not concerned. He trusted God. He knew God would take care of it. He told the Israelites to stand still and see what God was going to do.

God did not disappoint. Wait, what?! The Israelites walked across the Red Sea on dry land. We who have heard the account since young children sometimes forget the wonder of it. They were in an impossible situation, but God simply opened up a new, miraculous, and unexpected way for His children.
