Moses was a man of great, great faith. As we look at verse 28 in our slow stroll through Hebrews 11, something stands out to me.
“28 Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.”
First we see that he followed God faithfully by keeping the passover and sprinkling of blood. What did this mean? He believed that God would do what He said that He would do. He then obeyed God. This is huge as the Passover and sprinkling of blood both have rich meaning for the coming of Jesus Christ.
Then, this hit me. Moses did it in faith, but he also lead others to do it as well. His faithfulness was contagious. The stuttering shepherd had faith in God and was now leading people to obey and have faith in His faithful God. Selah. Amen.
