We continue looking at Hebrews 11:23-29, today looking at verse 27.

Moses and his parents both had amazing faith. He chose God. He chose suffering. He could have had riches and a life of ease, but chose God. At the time he first made that choice, did he know what God had for Him?

^“27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.”

He forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king. He endured.

That endurance comes into play as he makes this journey. Did he know how hard the road would be? I mean, 40 years wandering in the wilderness with a large group of complaining people, people not used to wandering in the wilderness, depending on God alone for their very sustenance. Yet, are we not all dependent on God for our very sustenance? Moses just saw it more as they needed the very basics such as food and water.

Look at how He did it. He endured by seeing God who is invisible. He had that much faith in God. He simply saw God instead of the challenges.

Wow. I mean. Wow. What about us. Will we make the choice to follow God in the wilderness of disability and chronic illness despite the hardships and what we don’t know is ahead?
