“11 And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.”
I love this verse. I need this verse this week. Returning from vacation means the work load is overwhelming going into one of the busiest months of the year. The vacation was strategically planned to give me rest right before the crazy hit, but temporarily caused the crazy to be a bit worse. Yesterday, I was dreading it to be honest although I love my job. The load simply seemed overwhelming on top of all the health challenges we face on a daily basis.
My God gently reminded me where I needed to be focusing in the midst of my weary looking at the difficult path ahead. He did not disappoint. God simply stepped in and took care of my day. He fulfilled everything in the verse above, taking my weary and the load.
Disability and chronic illness means that even small tasks have extra weight to them and take more of our strength than it would someone else’s. Today, let’s remember our God. He guides, satisfies, provides, and quenches our thirst. What an amazing God we have!
