We briefly mentioned these verses in today’s Faithful Friday.
“23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.”
Isn’t it exciting that God orders our steps? He is a faithful God who can be trusted. Thus, what peace we can have when we realize that we are not responsible for having to order our own steps. Do you see that there is delight involved? I honestly don’t know which he or his refers to God or man, but I do see that there is delight between them.
If we do fall or bad things happen, we don’t have to lose all hope. God upholds us in His hand.
How encouraging is that? No matter what happens, God is in control. He will direct us, delight in the way, and uphold us. What peace this promise brings!
