“17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”
This weekend is a weekend of many memories for our family. It is a tender and precious time that makes us remember all the good gifts that God has given us. We praise God for His goodness and love to us and celebrate the good gifts He gives.
It made me think about the verse above. There is hard in this old fallen world, but there is also much good. All of the good gifts come from our Father. He does not change. He turns ash into beauty.
“3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.”
God gives good gifts. Our God is an amazing God!
