“16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:”
Yesterday, I spoke of how God is talking to me about seeking Him first instead of health or getting a bit stronger. There is another thing that I have been contemplating. God created me for Him. He knows all about our health before we are born. (Psalm 139:14-16) We are encouraged to give our lives to Him as a living sacrifice. (Romans 12:1-2)
What if that living sacrifice is willingly accepting the changes and struggles with my health as from God? What if God wants to use my health for His glory? He created me.
“Take My Life And Let It Be” is a wonderful old song. I always thought about it as giving our life for missionary service, doing something great and wonderful for God. I think it fits more with the verses we looked at above. What if we ask God to take our lives and let them be used for Him in the little things each day? What if we give Him full control and respond with contentment and peace?
Deep thoughts. Simple, yet difficult to do. God created us. He designed us. He loves us and wants us. Can we let Him take our lives and let them be used for Him?
