Recently, many people on the internet are doing the “I’m a …. fill in the blank; of course I …” I have thought about what that would look like and how I would identify myself. There are so many things, you see.
“I’m a person with multiple allergies. Of course I have to plan every moment and calculate risk vs reward for every trip out of the house.”
“I’m a person with food allergies. Of course I take my own food and always have snacks.”
“I’m chronically ill. Of course I calculate strength needed and recovery time for every task or activity.”
“I’m disabled with leg braces. Of course my shoes are for practicality only.”
“I’m …”
And, so many more “I’m a… statements.” But do you know what my favorite is?
“I’m a child of God. Of course I trust Jesus with my life every moment.”
“I’m a child of God. Of course I love spending time in prayer.”
“I’m a child of God. Of course I worship and praise Him.”
“I’m a child of God. Of course I read His Word.”
“I’m a child of God. Of course I look forward to seeing Him face to face.”
“28 But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy works.”
