Have you ever asked God “Why?” during affliction and suffering?
I have.
I am learning that sometimes a better question is “What?” as in “What do you want me to learn?”It is also okay to ask God how He wants to use the affliction in your life.
Over the next few days, we will be looking at some verses that show the purpose God can have in your life.
“67 Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.
68 Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.”
Affliction can bring us back to God and back to keeping His Word. As the verse says, God is good. He does good. God can use affliction to change us in a good way and draw us to Himself.
Let’s ask God how He wants to use our current affliction and how He wants to use it to draw us back to Him.
