“Not my will.” We see Jesus saying these words in the garden. He said that for you and I, that we would live.
What I was contemplating this morning is if I am willing to say that for Him. Am I willing to allow God to use my life however He sees fit in order to bring Him glory even when it is painful? Think about what Jesus said to the blind man in John 9:1-3:
“9 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.”
This man’s blindness (affliction) was used to bring glory to God. It was used to show God to the world.
Are we willing to be used like that? It is worth it. All glory and praise to God!
