I know many of you are facing new physical challenges, new medical struggles, and new diagnoses. I know it can get wearying some times as we become more limited.

God comes to us even in this and brings hope. Look at these verses:

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

^“16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

¹⁷ For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

¹⁸ While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

Read that again.

Today, I awoke weary. It has been a busy time with much going on. These verses encouraged my heart.

1. God. is renewing my soul (inward man) day by day. I was mulling over all that needs to be accomplished this weekend. God gently reminded me that He gives strength day by day. Matthew 6:34 says, “³⁴ Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”
2. This affliction that feels so heavy is actually light when compared to the glory it will bring, “a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.”
3. I should look at the things not seen, not the things I can see in front of me. Changing my perspective to one of eternity will change the mountain of what is happening.
