Suffering.
Some days, it seems as if we have more than our fair share. I mean… isolation, disability, and chronic illness are no walk in the park.
Jesus knew suffering in this world from the day He was born. He left the splendor of Heaven to come to earth to die, be buried, and rise again for us.
How does that affect our view of suffering? What does that mean for us?
“33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
I encourage you to go back and read John 14-16 to find out what words Jesus had spoken to bring this peace.
Do you see what He says we can have while in this world of tribulation? Good cheer.
Good cheer in suffering? Yes. Why? Jesus has overcome the world. He has overcome the world and all its suffering. He is an amazing God!
