Today, we will be looking to our precious Jesus. What a precious Savior He is!
“12 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Jesus… He is the author and finisher of our faith, the beginning and the end.
Jesus went to the cross, endured it, endured suffering and shame because of the joy that was set before Him. What was this joy? It was being reunited with God as well as the joy of believers in Him being with Him forever. Do you realize that we are part of the joy that was set before Jesus? We are part of Jesus’ joy. Wow.
Jesus is our precious Savior. I know it will be a joy to us to focus on Him this month.
