Daily Dose of Encouragement: 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

2 Corinthians 1:3-4, “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”

Comfort is something we all need at one time or another. For we who are isolated, it is something of which we can often feel the lack. However, I have good news!

God is the God of all comfort. He comforts us in our tribulation, in our suffering.

That is incredible as you think about it. God, the Creator of the universe, comforts us. God has time for and thinks about and cares about us. Wow.

Not only does He give us all comfort as His children, His followers, but He has an additional purpose in that comfort. He gives us what is needed to comfort others who are going through trouble. The comfort He supplies is so abundant that we can then spread it to others who are going through trials.

I say again, “Wow. What an amazing God!”

I don’t know what you are going through today, but rest assured that God is there to comfort you! He is not leaving you alone. He will walk with you through it!
