Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
John 14:1-6, “14 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Oh, there is so much in this passage. Look at how it starts, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.” If you look in the previous passage, you see that Jesus had just told the disciples that He was going away and told Peter that he would deny Him.
Yet, Jesus said not to let their hearts be troubled. Ummm… what?!
Jesus goes on to let tell them about Heaven and that He would come again to receive them and have them be where He is. Selah. Amen.
When Thomas asks about how they will know the way, Jesus points them right back to Himself.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He is the Way of our salvation, a restored relationship with God. He is the Truth. He can be trusted. He is the Life. We have Life through Him. Selah. Amen.
This time of year can be bleak. Maybe your days look dark and long. Jesus is our Way, our Truth, and our Life for our time on earth as well as in Heaven. We can rest in Him!
