Jesus – Bright Morning Star.

Revelation 22:6, “¹⁶ I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”

Are you in a dark night that seems without end? Jesus is our Bright Morning Star. (2 Peter 1:19; Numbers 24:17; Luke 1:78;  Malachi 4:2)

Are you in a dark place? Jesus – Light of the World. He is our light! (John 1:4-5; Hebrews 1:3)

John 8:12, “¹² Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

Darkness comes in many forms. For we who are isolated, this time of year can be especially difficult. The isolation during a time that should be a time of celebration can cause our world to go “black.” The tedium of fighting for daily survival can make our lives seem like constant night. I do not want to oversimplify this, but Jesus is our Morning Star during this time. He is our Light. Cling to Him when it seems all is lost.

He is our Light. May He shine in your heart and life today, this season!
