Emmanuel.

God with us.

Matthew 1:23, “²³ Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”

Stop and ponder the implications of this name of Jesus. Jesus is Emmanuel. He is God with us.

God. With. Us.

Jesus came to earth and lived among us to become our Savior. He knows how we feel. He has endured the trials of this earth. He is God with us!

Hebrews 4:14-16, “¹⁴ Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. ¹⁵ For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. ¹⁶ Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

Jesus understands. He loves us and cares for us.

What are you going through today? God is with us. God made a way for salvation and victory. The Holy Spirit dwells with us now.
