Gratefulness: What are you thankful for today?
Today, I am thankful for the various chalkboards and dry erase boards around the house. I began using them during some of the dark days of early isolation to post relevant Scripture and reminders. Now, they don’t get updated as often, but a dear helper went through and updated them.

And, yes, we are in between Thanksgiving and Christmas in our decor at the moment. I am thankful for the guest artist as well.
Daring Devotion Thoughts from Day 13: It seems as each day comes, I need the message of the devotional.
What are you facing today? I happen to have a few “mountains” right now that seem insurmountable. I know that some of you face these mountains that make mine look like speed bumps. Yet, no matter the mountain we face, God is greater. The title of our lesson today is “Expecting the Impossible.” It is in regard to Robert Morrison, missionary to China.
Zechariah 4:6, “6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.”
Robert Morrison faced nearly every kind of obstruction as he went to China as a missionary. To gain passage and remain in the country, he had to work for a trading company. This took away his time as a missionary. He also faced war and harsh sickness. Yet in all this, he realized that only God could accomplish the work. It was not anything on Robert Morrison.
What are you facing today? What mountain is in front of you? Remember that it is not our might or power that will climb the mountain or accomplish God’s plans. It is God; His Spirit. He is able. He is capable.
You are in my prayers as you face the mountains of today.
