God is in control. We have heard that.
God knows our lifespan. Our times are in His hands.
Psalm 31:15a, “My times are in thy hand:” God knows all. God takes care of us.
I have shared a bit about having some unexpected health issues this past week. I want to start by saying that I am fine. Yes, life changes have to be made. Yes, I was reminded that our time on here is not forever. I am fine.
As I walked through the medical “fun” this past week, I realized again that if we are still here, God has a purpose for us. There are so many things that can happen. If we are here, God wants us here. He has a plan. He is in control. Wow.
I think that those of us with chronic illness, health challenges, and disabilities are actually blessed. We are reminded more frequently than others that time here is precious and limited. We are aware. And, we are aware of who to turn to.
God is our refuge, our strength. Read all of Psalm 31. What do you see? God! We can trust Him. We can rely on Him. We can navigate this life with confidence. We know that even the speed bumps of life are in His hands. This means that our time is in His hand.
That means, we can encourage our own heart and others along with the Psalmist, “24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.” He knows.
