Are you called to battle?

I am sure you are thinking… ummm… did you again forget what my situation is?

Nope. I am still in the same situation of many of you: chronically ill, disabled, and isolated.

God has burdened my heart. What if we are put here by God to be called for a special purpose? What if we are purposely placed here to be prayer warriors for God.

I have mentioned the devotional I am reading, Daring DevotionIt is changing my heart. Day 7 talks about prayer. One quote I need to share from this book: “I used to think that prayer should have the first place and teaching the second. I now feel it would be truer to give prayer first, second, and third place, and teaching the fourth.” and “Solid, lasting missionary work is done on our knees.” ~James O. Frasier, missionary to China. Daring Devotion, Matt Conrad, Oxford eBooks, LDT.

Wow. How could God use us in prayer? What if we were truly dedicated to prayer? Think of these verses:

James 5:16, “16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

Lamentations 3:26, “26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.”

And, God could do this for us even as we are isolated in our homes.

Isaiah 54:2, “Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;”

God could use us in ways we could never imagine! I remember the true story of two elderly ladies who prayed for God to move. He answered their prayers and a great missionary was raised up. Revival came. Sadly, I don’t remember the name of the missionary, but only that he was used of God in mighty ways. (If anyone knows, let me know!)

Is He calling you to be a prayer warrior? What could He do if we became prayer warriors for Him? Oh, I would love to see it!

I strongly recommend the movie War Room. Here is a poignant scene and my prayer for us, the disabled, chronically ill, isolated, and care-givers!
