May Christ Be Magnified

Frankly, sometimes, our everyday struggles seem so pointless. Think about this.

Paul was imprisoned and had some type of thorn in his flesh which some Bible scholars think was a physical ailment.

Yet, listen to what he said, “20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. 21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:20-21)

Often we focus on the fact that he was willing to live or die for Christ. That is very true. He was willing for whatever God wanted. However, look at that again. He said that whether by life or death Christ would be magnified.

Christ would be magnified in his life, a life imprisoned and with physical ailment.

That made me stop this morning. Do I allow my life to magnify Him in my life, whatever comes?
