Do Not Be Afraid

Fear not.

Do not be afraid.

Be not afraid.

It seems as if fear easily creeps in when dealing with chronic illness, disability, and isolation. There is so much going on physically or there is nothing else to think about in isolation. There is so much to deal with each day.

Yet, God says, “Fear not.”

This morning, I awoke with my mind going ninety miles a minute of all that was coming up and all that had to be done. Fear was beginning to creep in. The first verse I looked at today was Joshua 1:9, “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

God is going with me through the day no matter what comes. No reason to fear.

Psalm 56:3-4, “What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.”

We can praise Him in the midst of the storm. Why? He is trustworthy!

Deuteronomy 3:22, “22 Ye shall not fear them: for the Lord your God he shall fight for you.”

OH… I love this! God will fight for us. We don’t need to fear!
