Bearing Burdens

Many, many families that I know are going through very hard times right now. My heart breaks for them. My heart lifts them up before our Father throughout the day.

As Christians, we love one another as Christ loved us.

John 13:34: “34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.”

We bear each others’ burdens.

Galatians 6:2: “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”

How do we do that when the needs are great, our strength is small, and our resources are limited? Ask God to help you know how to encourage them, to walk beside them.

Sometimes, that looks like sending a card, a note, a text, or picking up the phone for a quick call. Sometimes, that looks like offering a homemade treat or ordering a treat to be delivered. Sometimes, that looks like offering whatever skills and talents you have that may help them. Sometimes, it means listening or sitting quietly with them.

Always, it means praying for them. Always it means coming alongside to bear their burden.

For those walking the valley right now, please know that I am praying for you, praying in Jesus Name.
