LWD: Why Worry? The Battle Belongs to Him

What are you facing today? Good news. There is no need to worry. In a life of disability and chronic illness or isolation, there is often much that causes concern. The mountains seem too high to climb. The battle is just too large on a daily, tedious, monotonous basis. Don’t worry. God is in control. He will fight for us.

2 Chronicles 20:17, KJV: “17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you.”

As I write this, I realize there is a battle that I have been trying to fight on my own all week, even waking in the night to “pray”… err… worry over. I simply want to “fix it.” Sometimes the battle is something we need to stay out of. Does anyone else have the biggest battle keeping their two cents to themselves?

Exodus 14:14, KJV: “14 The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”

Or, maybe your battle is about insurmountable odds. Do not worry. Be strong. Have good courage.

Joshua 1:9, KJV: “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

What is your battle today? There is no need to worry. Listen to what Jesus said, “27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27, KJV
