Colossians 1:7, KJV: “7 As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ;”
This verse challenged me. Read that again.
Epaphras is not a well-known Bible character and yet, look at the above verse again! He is a fellowservant of Paul. More importantly, he is a faithful minister of Christ to the Colossians. He was faithful to Christ.
He is mentioned again in Colossians 4:12 as a servant of Christ who was fervently praying, laboring in prayer for the Colossians. His prayer was that they would “stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.” KJV
Finally in Philippians 1:23, we find out that he is also a prisoner for Christ. He is a prisoner for Christ and yet so faithful to care for the Christians of Colosse.
We are home-bound, isolated. Yet, may God find us faithful. May we faithfully pray for our fellow believers.
What an amazing faithful saint! May we also be found faithful!
