KJV: “6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.”
Paul gives us a word of warning in this passage. We are not to be deceived by empty or purposeless words. These words may sound good, but there is no spiritual value in them.
The first question that comes to my mind is, “How can we know the truth?” I believe it shows how we must be saturated in His Word and spending much time with Him. If we are saturated in His Word, we will be able to recognize false information.
It is imperative that we recognize these empty words for it is because of these things that God’s wrath comes on the ones who disobey Him. We must, therefore, not be partners with the disobedient. We do not want His wrath.
May we be close to God and His Word. May we listen to this warning from Paul!
