Adventure Story!

Today for the first time in around four years, I went to the grocery store to get groceries. (While I have lots of restrictions if I go out, I am finally strong enough to go to a store!) My first impression was that it was loud. I have to go early in the morning to avoid people so it wasn’t people noise, but background noise (fans, whatever). It was also bright. The shelves were much barer than I remember as my last time grocery shopping in a store was months and months pre-Covid. Interesting.

We had a couple more stops to make and were happily running errands when an error showed on the car “Engine power is reduced.” We thought we could make it the couple miles home or to the shop. Nope. It flashed again and good night. No more moving.

Now, this is the vehicle that just came back from the shop. The breakdown happened at the best possible place it could have and a gentleman stopped to help get it off the road. Tow truck called; brother came to our rescue.

Truly, we saw God in all of it. We had been hoping to go out of town to visit my mom. My niece drove and we were only half hour late to see Mom! Now, we embark on the adventure of how God is going to take care of costly repairs or possibly another vehicle. We have an amazing God! 🙂

So, my first grocery shopping trip didn’t go quite as expected, but it was a good day!

And… I still have a bit of energy left which is amazing. As all of you with chronic illnesses know, tomorrow will be the true test of how it went today. 🙂

Praise God that he took care of you and you had help. Got to visit your mom. Blessings!
