Remember those TV commercials of years past which said, “But wait, there’s more…” Yesterday we began looking at the spiritual blessings God has given us in verses 3-6. Today, the blessings continue!

Redemption. We are sinners, separated from God, bound for Hell without Christ. You may think that you are too great a sinner for God or not good enough due to your physical condition or circumstances, but it is not true. In verse 7-8, we see that we have redemption in Christ through Christ’s blood. Redemption. We are redeemed, bought back. Our transgressions are forgiven according to the riches of His grace. And, all of this is done with His wisdom and understanding. It was not on a whim, but planned. Planned in wisdom and understanding.

You may say, I am too unworthy. I have done wrong, going my own way, doing my own thing instead of what God wants. You don’t know what I have done. I am too far gone to be redeemed and to have a relationship with God.

Good news! Take a look over at Isaiah 53 and look at Jesus and what He did. He knows we have “gone astray.” Notice verses 5 and 6. He took it all Himself. He paid the price for us! The burden of redemption is not on the one being redeemed, but on the Redeemer. He redeems us while we are unworthy. Unworthy, but made worthy. Unworthy, but of great worth to Him. He loves us enough to redeem us.

What a blessing! No matter your circumstance, health, or past, God loves you and has taken the punishment for you. He has redeemed you with His own blood. Unworthy, but full of worth for God has redeemed us!

Sometimes, those of us in isolation can feel like a burden, outcast, unworthy. God sees us as full of worth. He paid all to bring us worth. You are deeply loved. This truth changes our lives even in isolation, chronic illness, or any circumstance.

What blessings He has given us. What richness and hope! And… there is more that we will explore tomorrow. See you then!
